Any resident of Florala or the Tri-Cities area may obtain a library card by completing an application at the circulation desk and presenting identification with current address.Patrons under the age of 18 will be issued a juvenile card, which must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Books and other reading materials may be checked for two weeks and are renewable for another two weeks if material is not in demand. videotapes and DVDs may be checked out for one week and cannot be renewed. Current magazines may be checked out overnight.
Generally, there are no limits on the number of books that may be borrowed except in the subject area or by the same author (limit of two books.) New members may borrow two books and one video or DVD on their first visit. Audio books and DVDs are limited to two per household.
Patrons will be charged ten cents per day for overdue materials. The maximum fine is ten dollars plus postage. Current magazines, videos and DVDs are one dollar per item a day including weekends and holidays.
Patrons may reserve most materials and will be notified by phone when the item is available. Reserve items will be held for two days after notification. Videos and DVDs may not be placed on reserve.
The library Internet computers are provided for library-related learning, research and information, Computer time is limited to one hour daily. Time may be limited if others are waiting. Through signature, all users must agree to Internet Access Policy by signing the Internet Acceptable Use Agreement. Children under twelve years and under must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, guardian or authorized teacher at all times while using the computer. A parent, guardian or legal care giver, through signature, is responsible for the access of young adults from ages of 13 to 18, but is not required to be present during their use of the computer. It is the responsibility of parents guardians or caregivers to determine what is appropriate for their own child.
Black/White copies are $.20 each. Color copies are $.50 each. You must pay for all copies you make.
