The Alabama Regional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (BPH), a division of the Alabama Public Library Service (APLS), will host a commemoration to honor area U.S. military veterans and also remember the attack on Pearl Harbor, which occurred on Dec. 7, 1941.

Presented in partnership with the Alabama Humanities Foundation (AHF), the event will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at APLS in Montgomery. The program will feature live patriotic music and a keynote from AHF Executive Director Armand DeKeyser, who is also a U.S. Army veteran.

The event is co-sponsored by the BPH Consumer Advisory Committee, and is free and open to the public.
